| General Comments | This West Indies pigeon species ranges north only to the Florida Keys and adjacent mainland as a regular breeder, and there are very few records north of that state. Thus quite a surprise was one photographed on a powerline wire, with Mourning Doves, at Carolina Beach (New Hanover) on 31 Dec 2022* [Chat 87:34 link], [Chat 88:53 link]. This is the first state record. | ||||||
