General Comments
Accidental. There are two state records of the Buff-bellied Hummingbird, which nests in the United States only north to southern Texas. One was seen and photographed at a feeder near Oriental (Pamlico), 21-23 Oct 2007* (N.A. Birds 62:55); (Chat 72:7-10); (Chat 74:38-39). Another was seen and photographed at several feeders/yards in Winston-Salem (Forsyth), from 22 Sep 2015 to 6 Mar 2016* (Chat 80:14), (Chat 80:41), (Chat 80:118).
